I know I'm two shades late in joining the challenge, but I hope this amazing color by Deborah Lippmann makes up for it.
Deborah Lippmann is a special brand to me, as it played a huge role in inspiring my own venture in the world of cosmetics. The price tag is hard to swallow at first, but honestly with the first brush stroke I knew it was worth every dollar.
Candy Shop is one of my favorite opaque glitters of all time. The bubble gum pink base and the literal explosion of red and blue and yellow and green and gold... my eyes can't even take in all the colors at once. There's so much glitter you almost have to play hide-and-go-seek with the base coat.
It's so very hard to find opaque glitter in mainstream polishes, especially ones with quality. The formula is amazing. It has an amazing consistency that isn't goopy or runny; it dries super fast, and I only needed one coat of HK Girl Topcoat (my new favorite topcoat, by the way!) to make it super smooth and shiny. It looks like the gory aftermath of a pinata party rush, and that makes me happy, which is exactly what nail polish should do.
Glad you joined us! I Love this polish, super cute! I don't own any DL yet but I promised myself I would buy at least 1 this year! LOL
ReplyDeleteIt looks like the Inlinkz code isn't working for anyone so far! :/ I wonder what we need to do to fix it? I'm hopping the computer smart ppl can figure it out! LOL
Ps. Did you know you have captcha on for your comments? Just wondering, since most ppl don't know it's on until someone tells them. ;)
Oh my god I thought I turned that off. I hate it so much. -_-
DeleteI am almost ashamed to admit I own six of her colors. I'm an addict. Haha.
And I looked around and I think they recently changed their settings; you have to pay a monthly membership fee of $1.99 for photo thumbnails to show up.
I don't have any DL polishes yet but I keep seeing these awesome swatch photos so I don't think it'll be too much longer till I do :D
ReplyDeleteSo nice to see you join us too :) Now you just have to come up with your own polishes and name them so you can use those for each weeks letter LOL
Yayy thank you! And I may have to for some letters. Haha. I don't think I own a single polish that starts with W, X, or Y.
DeleteI don't have anything for Q or X myself. I think I'm gonna count on you to name something for those letters :D
DeleteOh man I don't have Q either. -_-
DeleteI'd need a polish like this on my nails right now: here in North Italy it's cold and foggy and Candy Shop would give a touch of brightness to this freezing day. :)
ReplyDeleteThis is definitely my feel-good defy-the-cold weather polish. Haha
DeleteMy favorite of all DL's polishes! Love, love, love, opaque glitter.
ReplyDeleteThis looks like a party on your nails. A really festive party! :)
Isn'it?! Opaque glitter makes my world go around.
DeletePretty! Welcome to the challenge!!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteI've always loved Candy Shop, it looks so good and never lets down!
ReplyDeleteExactly. And it just goes on forever without chipping too.
DeleteLove Candy shop! I agree nail polish should make you happy!!
ReplyDeleteI always make sure that I buy colors that will make my day brighter when I look at them. Haha.
DeleteI love it! I have a similar but cheaper one by Brazilian brand Hits and it's also one of my ever favourite glitters!
ReplyDeleteOh I haven't heard of that brand! Cheaper sounds good to me! Haha.
DeleteI used this one too! It's such a beautiful color! x
ReplyDeleteHaha really?! I have to go check it out! Isn't it just amazing?!
DeleteWow that is a beautiful polish!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it just?! I knew I made the right decision the first time I ever wore it.
DeleteI love this polish. On the top of my wishlist. It always reminds me of a plethora of pinatas after a huge bender. It's awesome!
ReplyDeleteBeauty Bridge is my personal go-to for Lippmann. They hand out coupons ALL the time. I sometimes get away with only 10 bucks per bottle.
DeleteAwww..this is so cute! Love the color and the glitters on it. I find it classy and girly. I wanna try it out too.
ReplyDeleteThank you! And yes, it's definitely a nice blend of classy and girly!
DeleteSo pretty!! I don't have any DL's, I haven't reached that level in my polish addiction yet - I'm still In the i can't pay more that $5 on a bottle of polish.....I'm cheap....
ReplyDeleteI'm usually relatively cheap about what polishes I buy, but it's really hard to turn down a DL. I still buy them at discounted prices online though.
DeleteLove this glitter! It's so cute!
ReplyDeleteThanks! It really is!
DeleteI love the look!

DeleteLove this on you! I cant get myself to spent the money on a DL. It was hard enough buying a butter london lol.
ReplyDeleteI haven't bought a Butter London yet, ironically enough because of the price tag. I guess I haven't seen a color that struck me hard enough to buy it like with the DL.
Deletelovely pictures! and i love candy shop!
ReplyDeleteThank you! <3
DeleteI like, I like! Pink is always a happy color, and then you add the glitter - fun on your fingers!
ReplyDeleteExactly! And it's so rare that pink looks good on my nails so this made me extra happy!
